Stand Alone or Sit In Grass?

Carter doesn't like the grass and he doesn't stand alone yet, so we decided to trick him. We put him in the grass and well, he either had to stand or sit. Watch to see the outcome. :)

Father's Day 2010

We went to Ohio Father's day weekend for the wedding of one of my Bridesmaids. Then Sunday we went to visit my grandma, we took my parents to breakfast at Bob Evans, Carter napped for a few hours, and then we packed up to head back to Michigan. Oh, but before we really got on the road we stopped at Scott's parents house. We had a great weekend and I hope Scott had a nice Father's Day!

My sweet, awesome, hip, amazing, lovable, sweet grandma gave me my birthday gift early while we were home. An iPad!!!!!! I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!!!! If I could sleep with it, I would!

Blowing Kisses

Carter practiced blowing me kisses on our vacation to OIB. This was in the car on our drive home to MI from NC. I think he's got it down pat!!

We are technically still on vacation right now, but only staying overnight in a hotel in NC before driving back home to MI tomorrow. (We decided to have a 5 hour drive today and then a 9 hour drive tomorrow instead of doing it all in one day.) We went with Scott's family, immediate and extended, to Ocean Isle Beach, NC for the week. I'll write more later, but wanted to share a few of my favorite pictures to tide you all over! :)

A Few New Randoms

It's official, at 10am he comes crawling from where ever and whatever he's doing to watch Ellen. The sound of her voice seems to mesmerize him!

He has started hugging all of his stuffed animals and his "bunnies." It's really cute!!

Usually, while I'm cleaning his room or putting laundry away, he'll sit just outside the gate to his nursery and flip through books I give him. It's really sweet!

We have started "brushing" Carter's teeth. He'd rather suck the gel stuff off than brush really, but it's a start at least.

Splash! Splash!! Splash!!!

Last week, I took Carter to our neighbor's house to play in the kiddo pool. This was a first for him and he seemed to really enjoy being in the water during the HOT weather.

So because he seemed to enjoy the pool at the neighbor's, Scott pulled out the pool that my parents got Carter for his birthday. Oh, and when Carter went down for a nap, I put my suit on and grabbed a cocktail and soaked up some rays myself. This is how we spent our Sunday afternoon on our Memorial Day weekend. Hope everyone had just as nice of a weekend!

Party Time!

My niece turned one on May 18th and my SIL had a party for her on May 22nd. It was a fun time. We had beautiful weather which allowed us to party outside and let the kids walk and crawl around in Grandpa Smith's garage.

Carter was the only child there that couldn't walk, so I cut up an old tube sock and slipped it on his knees so he could crawl without tearing his little knees apart. I thought it was a pretty clever idea!!

Ava got a new slide from Uncle Chad and Carter tested it out and told Ava he approves!
