A Long Time Gone

G-Daddy decided he wanted to get Carter out of his crib because he was crying. If it would've been up to me I would have let him be and he would've put himself back to sleep (I know, mean Mommy), but because G-Daddy said so it was ok. Ha! This is how I found them, sitting together watching the Cartoon Network at about 10:30pm. Too stinking cute!!

We took MayMay to lunch at Max & Erma's for a belated Mother's Day lunch. Here are my parents with Carter leaving lunch for the next thing on our to do list. :) What a ham!!!

We went to BDubs and Carter decided he wanted to lick the BBQ sauce from my wing basket. He actually did a pretty good job getting it all and was a complete mess when all was said and done. Hey, at least it kept him busy!

We went to the wedding of a very close friend to my family, Molly Hamilton. The wedding was beautiful and she was stunning. I can't believe she's married now, but we wish her and Brandon many happy years together!

Sorry I've been missing for awhile. I've been one busy Mama!

Carter and I left for Ohio the morning of May 14th (Scott met us there Friday night after work) and Carter and I left after dinner at Nana's on Monday, May 24th. In between those dates I had, the wedding of a close friend, 3 meetings with a friend graduating from Dental Hygiene school (I was her Board patient), a trip to Columbus to see my niece on her 1st birthday and a friend I haven't seen much lately, visits with Carter's great grandmas, errands, lunch with my mom and dad (we got to see his new office), my niece's 1st birthday party, Carter had a high fever accompanied by a red rash, and Monday night dinner at my Nana's. It was good to be home, but I'm REALLY glad to be back in Michigan!!!!!!!!!!!!

Swagger Wagon

Being that Scott spent SOOOOOOO much time working on the Sienna, I figured this was an appropriate shout out for him. He showed it to me the other night, and at first I wasn't all that amused, but now that I've watched it a few times I laugh every time I see it. Seriously, a music video for a new vehicle? Haha, has to be the funniest thing and smartest marketing tool used to date. Enjoy!!

It's Fun To Watch Them Learn New Things

I made chicken puffs for dinner the other night and it was a first for Carter. I've been giving him a fork at meals so he can start to learn to use it the right way. I looked away and then back at him and he was stabbing the food on his tray and eating it off the fork without my encouragement. What a big boy!!

I think it must be working because he's learning with a Ohio State Buckeyes fork! Just sayin'!

Happy Belated Mother's Day

Happy Belated Mother's Day to all the Mommies in the world!

This weekend my in laws came up to visit. They were literally here for just 24 hours. And for those of you who know the in laws, you know it's very surprising that I have no stories to share!! It was a very pleasant visit. We took them to Lonestar for Mother's Day dinner. (They have the awesome 2 for $20 deal, appetizer, entree, and two sides.) Then, we went for a quick trip to Cabela's. Carter loved looking at all the animals that were stuffed (moose, fox, deer, etc) and the fish in the Cabela's aquarium. When we got home, I put in the cream cheese brownies I made. Yummmmmm! We ate brownies and beer and played some Euchre. It was a fun night.

Sunday morning, Scott made all of us waffles in the waffle maker. I opened cards and Carter's gift to me, a black and white Vera Bradley baby bag. I LOVE it! I had always wanted something that looked fancy and chic to carry around with me...and I sure got it! A big thanks to Carter, but mostly to Daddy for picking it out and making the purchase!! I love you guys!

I wanted to end this post with a short and sweet thanks to my mom and grandma. I'm so close to both of them and don't know what my world would be like without them in it! I love you both more than words can describe. I hope you both had a very, very, happy Mother's Day!!!

A Few New Pics

Does anyone else's house look like a toy store at any given point during the day? Haha! It's really sad the boy doesn't have any toys to play with, isn't it?

Carter and I playing outside. If he could talk, can't you just hear him saying, "I love you mommy!"

He loves my sunglasses!

Last weekend, Scott put together the bike trailer we got for Christmas and so we gave it a test ride. He loved it and so did I. It certainly gave mommy's legs a workout!!

All ready to go for a ride!!

Dunking Time

Blogger decided it wanted to cooperate with me today, so here it is. The video of me dunking Carter in the pool just after his last swim class.
